This run was sucktastic.
I went to a group run at a local beer market for a run to benefit Boston. I get there to find out that they delayed it until next Monday due to the weather. (It rained all weekend, but at 6 p.m. tonight it was flipping beautiful). I can’t run next week due to prior commitments. :(
Anywho, I started with the group and almost immediately was ready to double over in pain. I felt like I had a major stitch in my side. I was not winded and I had stretched before starting. I made it a little more than half a mile before stopping to walk and try to work out the stomach issue. I made it about another quarter of a mile and had to stop again. After about 1.5 miles the pain finally went away. I just ended up running through it and it eventually went away. But holy moly, it hurt like crap.
I realized the culprit was a Lara Bar that was in my car. I are half of it about 45 minutes before the run. I had not eaten much all day. I should have just waited until afterwards to eat.
